What does a machining technician do?
Do you want to work with real tools, operate machines and see what you can create with your own hands? Then an apprenticeship as a machining technician is just the thing for you!
With us, you will learn how to make real components out of metal - by turning, milling, drilling or grinding. You will work on large machines, program the machining processes on the computer and ensure that everything runs smoothly.
Whether craftsmanship or high-tech – here you are right in the middle of it all.

basic module

- learn about materials and supplies
- process materials manually and mechanically
- read, apply, and create technical documents such as sketches, drawings, and operating instructions
- manufacture, assemble, adjust, and test workpieces and components
- learn about surface protection and heat treatment of materials
- handle electrical current, hydraulics, and pneumatics correctly
- work with company hardware and software
main module
1,5 years
- create, program, and modify manufacturing programs
- transfer and adapt (CAD) designs to manufacturing programs (CAM)
- determine machining parameters and select the appropriate machining tools
- set up and operate machines and production equipment
